For my action research project I am researching the effect that intervention has on student achievement through professional learning communities and the utilization of common assessments in the classroom. The effectiveness of the intervention comes from the analysis of the common assessments given in the classroom and the instruction provided as a result. Below is my action research project proposal and outline.

Today the ALT met in two groups and discussed
presentation methods for the 8-10 essential outcomes, and Creating Common
Assessments. Cathy facilitated created
an affinity diagram on crucial items in creating a PLC vision. She will present on this during in-service.

The follow up survey was given to teachers via

analyzed by me and our Principal.

teacher observations and decide which students need targeted intervention.
